Its exciting times for the StarMaker Productions in 2014/15 as we take our award winning team and projects to new heights by expanding our hugely successful " Schools Stars" competition to now offer five fantastic concepts to all schools across Ireland at Secondary Education Level. Our trademark competition started back in 2002 were seventeen schools enrolled to take part in the event that has grown from strength to see us now working with over 70 schools across the country. In previous years a celebrity judging panel decided on who scooped the prize fund and judges included X-factor Stars Tabby , Chico, Ray Quinn and Westlifes Brian Mc Fadden. Along with the growing demand of our services it has enabled us to enhance our resources with a second team now working full time on school events due to our high  standards of efficiency and professionalism.  One of Irelands top attractions Ritchie Remo has been confirmed as the compere at the schools shows and this is sure to go down a treat with the crowds.  Ritchie will interview the acts  prior to their performance in front of the live audiences and will also preform with all the acts as part of the Finale each night. Benefits of Starmaker: It is current and is following in the footsteps of wannabe stardom Its a chance for your school to showcase its musical talent to a live audience with state of the art equipment. It gives your staff and pupils the chance to work with a team of Industry professionals and create an experience that will leave an everlasting memory. All the equipment needed to host the event is provided by us so it takes the stress of the teachers and gives them a chance to enjoy the event. Gives your pupils a chance to shine in an area they may not have before. Confidence Building Creates hysteria around the school and local area and a good chance to avail of good media exposure. School Quotes “Star Maker” offers our students the opportunity to showcase their singing talent in the eyes of their favourite pop star. This competition is one of Ireland’s leading talent contests in which young people can develop their love for singing, grow in confidence and experience a real sense of achievement at individual level. Our experience and involvement in the competition has always been great. Led by a professional team of experts, in the organization and preparations prior to the School Hearts right through to the Grand Final is always excellent. We at Drumragh Integrated College would like to take this oppourtinity to thank everyone involved with “Shool Stars” and will continue to aim to support this organization in their ethos to develop the talent of all the young people whom they work with. Mrs McKibbon, Drumcree College, Portadown.
“Star Maker” is probably the highlight in Scoil Mhuire Clane’s year of events. Personally it’s my highlight and I know how important it is for students. There is a buzz around the music room in October when auditions take place and students wait in anticipation to hear if they got through the auditions to take part in the show. Every year there is a massive interest in the show and students want to get involved, be it selling tickets, performing or just attending the show and showing their support for their favourite act.The lads from the Shool Stars team have been a huge source of inspiration; they encourage the students and have wonderful way with them. I am always in awe at how hard they work and how dedicated they are to their work. As ABBA said “Thank you for the music” I say thank you to Star Maker. School Mhuire, Clane, Co. Kildare, Ms Orla McStravick (Music)
Eoghan Quigg (X-Factor Runner-up) “I was very fortunate to get to the final at the Waterfront on 2 occasions which I really enjoyed and was overwhelmed by the atmosphere. School Stars is a great talent competition that I highly recommend as it gave me great confidence and experience.” General Fiasco (signed Original Band) These bunch of lads entered the School Stars competition a few years back, it wasn’t hard to notice this group of young lads where a great talent. These guys to date are selling out arenas all over Ireland. Since the show the band were invited to play at the 2008 Reading & Leeds Festival as part of the BBC Introducing line-up. Their appearance was picked by NME as one of “the ten hopes for the near future”. Since then they have been part of the BBC Introducing line-up at the Electric Proms in October 2008. The band also supported Snow Patrol on the home coming concert in Ward Park Bangor 2010. Young guys like this are in schools all over the country and with School Stars we can help get them noticed. Janet Devlin (X-Factor Finalist) A finalist on a previous X-Factor on ITV was another past competitor in the School Stars competition. In 2009 Janet made it to the Grand Final of the competition and since then has gone on to bigger and better things. We wish her all the best with her success.
JMG also can provide any of the talent shows for fundraising or special events. All the visuals and sound & lighting are supplied with a compere. This has proved very successful with a host of Sporting and Charity organisations across the country.
